NaNoWriMo prompt 6

Today’s prompt, since it’s Sunday: What does “Sabbath” mean to you?

Susan thoughts: Speaking of childhood treasures (yesterday’s prompt), today as we were unpacking, David discovered his lovey from when he was a wee one. It’s a well-loved Super Grover, sans cape, with plastic eyes with rubbed-away irises. He even has a silvery vinyl Super Grover helmet as part of his head. His “S” emblem is fuzzy, but still there. J, our 2-year-old son, saw it and instantly claimed it as his.  Soon afterwards, J was cuddled up with his Dad in David’s old quilt, hugging David’s old SuperGrover, reading The Cat in the Hat in the rocking chair before bed. Sometimes the adorableness of my life just slays me.

  1. That is so cute! I love it. 🙂

Today in Young Women the lesson was all about individual worth and remembering who we are and being positive. The lesson was for the youth but it really hit me and reminded me that I need to work on my own self image and remember the eternal perspective of who we really are.
